ROMA (II)

29 enero, 2014
Regresaremos!!
????????

SECOND DAY:
We woke up early, we had breakfast in the hotel’s penthouse, where is the hotel’s dinning room and from there you can enjoy the Rome’s views while you have breakfast.
We took the subway and went to see the Vaticano’s Museum: here you can enjoy the wonderful art works gathered by the Popes around the history. There are lots of treasures like the Capilla Sixtina: unbeliveable place.
After that we went to see The Vaticano: another historic treasure.
And when finish that visits whe went to historic Center crossing the Pont of Sant Angelo, we visit The Pantheon, Palazzo Farnese, Campo di Fiori, Area Sacra, jews neighborhood y and we end the day in Piazza Navona buying christmas decoration and dinning in the historic center.
It has been just two days but two days where we made the most of them, two magic and happy days. If you like the art, you have to visit Rome and if you want a very good hotel ( recomended for good friends), you have to go to The Independent http://www.independenthotel.it/es/: new hotel, near Termini Station and Historic Center. The rooms are very comfortable and beautiful, the personal is friendly and polite. The dinning room is in the penthouse and in my case the breakfast was very special.
We’ll come back!!!

TRIPS VIAJES

ROMA (I)

25 enero, 2014
IMG_6941

Hello people!!
Me encantó!! It’s a high level shopping ????.
Me encantaron esas calles, barrios, tan italianos!!!
To be continued….
FIRST DAY:
We began this trip with energy! What better reading a fashion magazine?
IMG_4835
We arrived to Roma aroud 12pm and went to the hotel to leave the baggage. Well, now we are ready to walk around Rome!!.
We took the subway and our first visit was Palatino: here you could imagine how lived the roman people. Also we saw the Arco di Tito and Circo Massimo.
To me was very important to see these monuments because I studied them and were exam questions…. ????
After that we were to see the Colosseo: amazing!! If you used your imagination you could see Spartacus fighting against other gladiators and the Domine watching him…????.
We continued walking and we went to see the Monumento a Vittorio Emanuelle: This man unified Italy and he ordered to build a big Palace and actually it’s a monument to remember the people died on the war. It’s a huge, huge monument!!
And we continued walking…. And walking we saw Foro di Augusto, Foro Traiano, la Colonna Traianna and walking, walking, we arrived to Fontana di Trevi, a tiny square with a huge and beautiful fountain. I loved it!! And also I loved the Piazza di Spagna. It’s super glamourous. Around it you can feel the glamour because the best fashion brands are in front it, like Loewe, Dior, Prada….  We went to Piazza Navona from Via Condotti: this street is full of high quality shops. It’s a high level shopping ????.
We arrived to Piazza Navona and there was a Xmas market there and the typical painters selling their art.
We were tired and we sat in a Café to recharge batteries with a glass of wine.
We continued walking around historic town and had dinner a good italian pizzeria.
I loved those streets, that neighborhood, it’s so italian!! Trattorias, pizzerias with red and white plaid tablecloth, fornos, gelattos, cafes….
Very, very nice….
To be continued….

San Francisco 34th America’s Cup

30 diciembre, 2013
IMG_6277

Hola gente!!
I’m ready!!!
Suena a anuncio, eh?… 🙂
Enjoy them!
Hi people!
Sorry for the delay. I’ve been very busy  but now I’m ready to continue my blog.
I’m going to tell you my experience in San Francisco.
In a few words: I loved SFO!!
I remember my first day in San Fran when we landed, caught a taxi, went to the apartment, saw the apartment, saw the views from the apartment and I fell in love with San Francisco.
I discovered a city similar to Valencia, my hometown: the sun, the sea, the port, the pier, shops, people….
I enjoyed San Francisco a lot. I’ve known San francisco from the point of view of America’s Cup enviroment and like a tourist to entertain my girls. I’ve known SFO in Muni ( public bus), walking, in ferry, in metro and by car. Only I can say: if you don’t know SFO, if you want to plan a trip, if you can, if you have the opportunity, visit SFO, you won’t regret it.
I’m going to show you by pictures my month lived in SFO.
Enjoy them!!

Last day: Day 11: Dunedin-Auckland

23 julio, 2013

 Day 11: Dunedin to Auckland
Our last day. In Dunedin. With my new sister, Lau. She has been our guide today. She has taken us to see some amazing places: The Larnach Castle, the Sandfly Bay, the Tunnel Beach ( her favourite beach), Baldwin Street (the steepest street in the world) and the University. What a fabulous and exciting day!!
After that we went to Lau parent’s house to have lunch and celebrate her birthday.
It has been a lovely lunch!!: her parents are sooo lovely… The food, the black beer, the cake: carrot cake!! My favourite cake!! and the tea, with milk, of course… Ha ha ha, and her mother gave  me a Lavender Pillow. Beautiful!!
Just to finish a day, they came with us to the airport and with a lot of shame we said goodbay.
Maybe one day we can repeat this travel…. Who knows?….

Day 10: Wanaka to Dunedin

22 julio, 2013

Día 10: Wanaka to Dunedin
Estamos en la carretera. Dirección: Dunedin. Nuestra última parada.

Wow!

Day 10: Wanaka to Dunedin
We are on the road. Direction: Dunedin!
Our last stop.
Wow! I love this city!! It  reminds me my city, Valencia, with its old buldings, the Cathedral, the Town hall, the Train Station…
When we arrived to Dunedin we went to visit Cadbury Factory: is the NZ chocolate’s factory. We ate a lot of chocolate and for the girls were like living a dream.
In the evening we saw the Mid Winter Carnival in the Octagon, the city center,  and we enjoyed the lantern parade, the concert and the churros from Spain!! After carnival we  had dinner in a brewery and saw the rugby game: All Blacks vs France. As usual All Blacks won. It was our last night in South Island.

Days 8 and 9: Glaciers to Wanaka

15 julio, 2013

Día 8: Glaciers to Wanaka
Me encantó!!!

Day 8: Glaciers to Wanaka
The forecast was worse… We had to go to Wanaka ( near Queenstown) and the pass to go was closed and we thought to keep going and if the pass continued close we would have to sleep in Haast but finally the pass was open and we arrived to Wanaka with our friends.
My friends were wating for us in Cardrona, near Wanaka, in a historic hotel, Cardrona Hotel, and we shared laughs, stories and a hot wine with cinammon and lemon: Mulled Wine (NZ) or Vine Chaud (European). I loved it!!
At night, at my friends’s house, the men cooked a kiwi style lamb. It was incredible!
Day 9: Wanaka
We woke up and it was snowing!
My friends and us went to see the snow with the kids and they enjoyed a lot and made a snow man!!
We stopped to have lunch and we kept  enjoying the rest of the day drinking a coffe, chating, drinking some wine, cooking, more chating and laughing…
It has been two amazing days shared with good friends. But we have to continue the trip….

Days 6 and 7: Greymouth to the Glaciers

14 julio, 2013

Day 6: Greymouth to the Glaciers
Oe oe oe oeeee!!
The Franz Joseph Glacier!!
Day 7: Glaciers
Unos encantadores y curiosos animales….

Day 6: Greymouth to the Glaciers

Ufff… Another rainy day…but our spirits are high!!
We arrived to Franz Joseph and we went to see the Franz Joseph Glacier. The track was funny with the rain, the river beside us, the black stones, the mountains, the falls and at the end the Glacier.
At night we did a track to see the glowworms. It was a bit scary because it was night, dark in the midle of the forest but we had two fantastic lanterns (iPhone’s lantern, hahaha), but it was a great experience for the whole family….
Enjoy the pics!
Day 7: Glaciers

Uff and moooreee Uff… Again a rainy day…
With a huge showers we went to the Fox Glacier and I liked it more than Franz Josef Glacier. In the Fox Glacier you can get close more than other and you can see the glacier better. It has been amazing!!
After lunch in a Lake Matheson Café we spent 1 hour walking to see the Lake Matheson. Another stunning route! And to end the day we went to see the kiwis. Lovely and curious animals…

Day 5: Westport to Greymouth

We woke up with a fantastic view of the Tasman Sea from the cliff where our house was.
We saw the seals in Westport!! They are sooo lovely!! We were  in Punakaiki & Paparoa National Park seeing Pancakes Rocks. Is really beautiful!  and is so impressive how the Mother Nature make these landscapes so marvelous. Have a look at my pics!!
When we arrived to Greymouth, we left our stuff in the motel and we went to the beach to see the sunset. The weather took a break…
We saw the sunset and in front of us we could see the Mt Cook. What a great way to finish a day…

Dia 4: Nelson to Westport

Accommodation: www.steeplescottage.co.nz

The weather has been, again, awful and horrible. Raining, raining and more raining.
We have seen the Lake Rotoroa in Nelson’s Lake National Park, even with that weather is so beautiful! Also we walked by the Buller Gorge Swinbridge, NZ’s longest ( 110 m) and after that we enjoyed the road from Nelson to Westport.
When we arrived  to the accommodation, at night and raining, we couldn’t see the stunning views….. so….we waited to the sunrise.
But before the sunrise we went to a Tavern to have dinner and was so funny and a little bit surrealist! We came into the Tavern and suddenly the owner asked our names and he introduced us everyone.   They told about the Tavern, the small town, their lifes, their dogs… Lol!! The food was quite good. A taste of real Westport!!

Dia 3: Nelson – Abel Tasman

2 julio, 2013

Dia 3: Nelson – Abel Tasman

I can’t tell so much about today because the weather was awful, all day raining and we spent a lot of time in the car.
The most exciting for today was that we have been in the Chetwood Forest of the Lord of The Rings. You could imagine how the nazguls ride through the forest…..
When we arrived at home we have enjoyed the afternoon in the cosy living room reading my book and writing the post.
Good morning! Is my breakfast!!
